2010 San Juan Trip #1 July 3rd - July 6th Trip Report

A mountain goat catches the first rays of dawn, with Sunlight and Windom in the backdrop...

I lucked out with gorgeous weather, allowing me to bag 6 14ers on this 4 day trip to the San Juan's with Tom. In total, I hiked 40 miles with 17,000' gain in that span, claiming 14ers #32-37 in the process.

Day 1 -- July 3rd -- Train and backpack into Chicago Basin.

Day 2 -- July 4th -- Mt Eolus (14,083'), Sunlight (14,059'), Windom (14,082').

Day 3 -- July 5th -- Cinnamon Pass to Handies (14,048').

Day 4 -- July 6th -- Redcloud (14,034') and Sunshine (14,001').
